People kept telling me I'd regret having blackbridesmaiddresses, and instead,I should pick something brighter like eggplant, champagne or pale blue.Don't get me wrong, those colors are beautiful, but it's not how I envisioned my wedding. My least favorite comment was that black was too "depressing" for a wedding.I've never equated black with depression—I think it's classic and dramatic.

This is one of my favorite pictures of my bridesmaids. They'd look gorgeous in any color, but I think black worked for all of them.

So,what do you think about choosing black for a bridesmaid dress?Do you think it's sophisticated,or do you think it's "depressing?" What color do you want your bridesmaid dresses to be at your wedding?Would you ever pick black?
