It's a tiny bit soul-crushing when I lift a water glass from our midcentury dining-room table and see it's left a drippy white ring on the surface.First World problem?Sure. But the table was a hand-me-down from my husband's great aunt,so we really try to be careful with it.
Thankfully, there's a super-easy way to remove white water stains from wood furniture: Let the stain dry, then rub paste wax into the area with a rag,and your furniture should be as good as new.Phew!
SC Johnson Paste Wax,$7.99.
Are you always getting water rings on your furniture too?
We picked a coffee table made from recycled barn wood, just to avoid water rings.(We figured a glass of water couldn't hurt the wood if it had been exposed to the elements for decades.) So far,so good.
