On CNN'sReliable Sources, she complained to correspondent Brian Stelter about the network's coverage of Trump. She claimed CNN was "systematically against" him and that they blew the Russia scandal out of proportion, calling it a "nonstory."
Stelter defended CNN when Conway accused the network of making up scandals, saying,"The scandals are about the President's lies, about voter fraud, about wiretapping, his repeated lies about those issues. That's the scandal." He's likely referring to Trump's claims thatvoter fraud caused him to lose the popular voteand thatPresident Obama wiretapped his office during the 2016 campaign, neither of which are supported by evidence.
"He doesn't think he's lying about those issues, and you know it.He has gone forth and he talked about surveillance," Conway replied.
Stelter shot back with,"A lot of husbands don't think they're lying when they cheat on their spouse and then say they're not.It doesn't mean they're not lying."
"Oh,are you back to the Clintons now? What are you talking about? What kind of analogy is that?" she responded.
Trump is also a sworn enemy of CNN.At a press conference in January,he指责出口运行“假新闻”的故事and told reporter Jim Acosta that his organization was "terrible." Earlier this month hetweeted an edited video of himselfwrestling with a man with a CNN logo for a head.
OnReliable Sources,Stelter addressed the Trump administration's hostility toward his employer by asking,"Why does attacking CNN make America great again?"
