Ever wondered what Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood would look like in pants form? No?Me neither. But admit it: You're now intrigued.
While I'm well aware that Western style and country music don't *always * go hand-in-hand (just like every trench coat doesn't necessarily require a rainy day or detective scene),there's something about French designer Isabel Marant's rodeo queen-worthy Fall 2012 collection that brings to mind all the 威廉希尔备用网址fashion-loving PYTs in today's country music scene.Specifically her body-hugging,chaps-like trousers:
They're little country,a little sexy and provide an incredibly alluring and fresh take on the classic styles--just like Ms.Swift and Ms.Underwood do with their albums, style and voice.
The same is true of the many yoke tops Marant sent down the runway.
With subdued colors and free of any glitzy, bedazzled add-ons,they're less *Coyote Ugly *and more something for cutie-pie Miranda Lambert to wear at home,on the ranch. In other words, they're sweet and charming, not overly playful or too costume-y.
For those of you who are adding these pieces to your lust list right now--or have long been a card-carrying member of the Unofficial Marant Fan Club--here's more good news for you: Not only are there plenty of the Western-inspired pieces to choose from for fall--from the dainty silk yoke tops and whip-stitch pants to low-slung studded belts and embellished cowgirl booties--but they're going to be even easier to get a hold of on this side of the pond,as Marant will soon open the doors to her first Los Angeles store.Westward expansion, indeed.
Liking what you're seeing?(Yeah,me too.If one of these perfect-for-Saturday-night outfits somehow showed up in my closet,I wouldn't be bummed about it.) Are you feeling the skirts looks or the pants looks more?Do these make you want to queue up the local country music station and rock it out?Totally understandable if so.__
