Felicity Jones stars in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Disney

We were already excited aboutall of the new shows and moviescoming toNetflixsoon, but now we've learned that the streaming service is about to get even better!Starting in September,Netflix will be the exclusive hometo stream the latest films from Disney,Marvel,Lucasfilm, and Pixar.Translation: This fall,we're never leaving the house.

But let's break downexactlywhat this means.Eventually, all future new releases from the Disney umbrella—we're talking major movies likeThe Jungle Book,Alice Through the Looking Glass,Finding Dory,Captain America: Civil War,and all of the newStar Warsfilms—willonlybe found on Netflix.NoAmazon Prime,no cable channels like Starz or HBO.This is a huge deal because it's the first time a major studio (and does it get more major than Disney?) chose an online streaming over cable to showcase new releases.

The partnership is estimated to have cost Netflixaround a cool $300 million, but it's worth it considering how popular Disney's original TV series have become on the streaming service. An independent study conducted last year (Netflix actually doesnotrelease viewing numbers) concluded that more Netflix subscribers were streaming Disney-produced shows likeDaredevilthan Netflix originals likeHouse of CardsandUnbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Now comes the biggest decision of all: How in the world are we going to decide what to watch first? At least we have four more months to think about it...
