Okay so you know my gluttony for reality TV knows no bounds (The Rachel Zoe Project,Stylista,Top Chef, and um,I can't believe I'm admitting this butWife Swapis the single best show on TV--so many life lessons!),and the most recent object of my boob tube affection,The Real Housewives of Atlanta.Last night featured the icy Sheree throwing a big bash to present her new clothing line,"She by Sheree"...except there were no clothes.
Sheree had entrusted her ideas to a sketch artist,a patternmaker, and a sewing team (I'm still a little confused about what she actually "designs" here, people) and the samples came back an absolute disaster. The woman waspissed. But rather than cancel her very fabulous fete, she decided to hold the party and just...not show any clothes. She defends the decision by saying she never promised there would be clothes, just that it would be a "viewing"...let's be real Sheree, you and I both know you didn't want to give up your opportunity to wear that insane Herve Leger dress that, truth be told, you looked a-MOH-zing in.
I wasn't about to show bad manners and call poor Sheree a dilettante but then one of my all-time favoriteProject Runwaycontestants,Michael Knight (remember the "coffee filter dress"?!) went ahead and did it anyway. In a preview for next week's episode,he tells the aspiring designer,"Don't take this the wrong way,but I see a lot of athletes' wives who want to design clothing lines just because they have the money." OUCH!Check out this preview clip from next week, where he tells her designing clothes just to make money "ain't the business."
What do you guys think of the fledgling 威廉希尔备用网址fashion career? Are there too many people rushing to put out clothing lines just because theycan?Does it distract from the genuine talent of 威廉希尔备用网址fashion stars on the rise? And how much do you love this show?Kim's singing career?!NENE and her running commentary?!I mean seriously...
