Serena Williams— master tennis player and master swaddler? The sports legend took to Snapchat on Sunday to share her swaddling education experience in "baby class" alongside fiancé Alexis Ohanian,Peoplereports..The pair took turns wrapping a toy doll in a blanket in preparation for the birth of their first child,to mixed results.
"Baby class 101 ," Williams captioned a video of a near-perfect swaddling of the lifelike baby.In the next snap, she brags about her #skills."Good swaddling,Serena!Yes," she says. Her husband-to-be,though,hasn't quite gotten it down.
“看看这个学生。Oh,what happened?" she jokes as Ohanian looks at his poorly swaddled baby in shame."I can't help it!" he says, before picking up the doll like a football.
"Sir,that's not how you carry the baby," Williams says in mock horror.
The first-time-parents may have a lot to learn before the baby arrives, but it's nothing the power couple can't handle: Ohanian is thecofounder of tech giant Reddit, and Serena Williams is,well,Serena Williams.Considering shewon the Australian Open while she was pregnant,it's pretty safe to say there isn't anything she can't do.
Even so,this whole "baby" thing hasn't come without its bumps (see what we did there?) in the road.First,Williams accidentally announced the pregnancy via Snapchat, thenWilliams' sister Venus seemed to accidentallylet the baby's gender slipto a group of reporters. And as for Williams herself, the whole thing still feels like a bit of a shock.
"If you would have told me last year in October or November that I would have a baby, not be pregnant but have a baby,I would have thought you were the biggest liar in the world," she toldVanity Fairin an interview for the magazine's April cover story.
She went on to admit that even though she was six months along, she hadn't quite started prepping for the baby's arrival."I don't know what to do with a baby.I have nothing....I've done absolutely nothing for the baby room," she says.
Clearly she's making progress: She's got the swaddling skills on lock.
