I dealt with a lot of stress while wedding planning, what with ourfirst two (yes, two) venues falling throughand lots of家庭戏剧.So I wanted nothing more than a weekend away with my girlfriends. But I'm not the Atlantic City/Vegas type…
I really wanted to go to Wine Country in Northern California!I had never been (still haven't!) and, maybe because of all the gorgeous scenery inSideways,I was dying to see it.If we're talking dream bachelorette parties (which we are),I would've wanted to fly first-class,stay in some gorgeous resort with a spa where we'd wake up each morning for daily massages, then hit the vineyards for delicious food and wine, all while wearing some adorable, not cheesy, matching accessory, like small flower clips in our hair.I'd want to squeeze in one fabulous night of dancing,so maybe we would all drive down to San Francisco and hit up a gay bar on Madonna or Lady Gaga night.
This couldn't work for a few reasons.1.One of my bridesmaids was in med school, another was just starting her first job after grad school, and another was saving for her own wedding,so money was tight all around, and 2.my sister,my maid-of-honor,was only 19 at the time;a 21+ weekend wouldn't have been fair to her (and she didn't have any money, either!).
Sushi,karaoke,and a chocolate bar in NYC was a low-key,但仍然很有趣,substitution.
If you could have any bachelorette party you wanted, where would you go?What would you do?Do you think your real bachelorette party will be anything like your ideal one?
