Being one of Bravo's esteemed "Real Housewives" isn't just an opportunity to go bottled blonde and have your extreme meltdowns broadcast into every living room in America--it's also, apparently,a genius jumping-off point to become a jewelry designer.
According to People StyleWatch,Ramona Singer (a member ofThe Real Housewives of New York City) will take to the HSN airwaves this afternoon from 1pm to 3pm to launch her second jewelry collection for the shop-at-home retailer. This collection, which ranges from $200 to $550,but,according to Singer,"looks like six figures!" was inspired by Princess Diana. The baubles have proven to be hot tickets for HSN,but she's not the only Real Housewife who's enjoying a career in jewelry design.
Fellow NYC housewifeKelly Bensimonalso has her own line of more-affordable bling, although like all things in Kelly's world, its debut was fraught with drama. After a fight over who owned the rights to a few designs she once worked on with a fellow designer, the suit seems to have disappeared andher Navajo-inspired line is now available on her own websiteand at boutiques likeScoopandKitson.
Teresa Guidice ofThe Real Housewives of New Jerseymay be better known for flipping tables than accessorizing, but that didn't stop her fromcreating her own line called TG Fabulicious (yeah, really). The Swarovski crystal bracelets and big charm necklaces are around $100 andare available here.
On the west coast,Orange County's Lynne Curtin keeps busy designing a line of leather and crystal cuffs (a source of frustration for her spoiled daughters, who thinks it takes away from her time as a mommy),called Lynne Curtin Designs.Check out her website--Gretchen even models for her in a few of the shots!
And finally,we have Atlanta's most level-headed housewife,Lisa Wu Hartwell, with a line of jewelry called Wu Girls Design, though it's recently been scaled back so she can focus more on her growing family.
Whew!Quite the arsenal of bling from a bunch of reality starlets, isn't it?Time to 'fess up...have you every bought anything designed by a Real Housewife? Are you surprised to see how successful Ramona's line for HSN has been? Will you tune in this afternoon?Discuss!
